Under the hood of the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee

This Jeep SUV offers several choices of engines, depending on the model chosen. Thus, the Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L are offered as standard with a 3.6-liter V6 of 293 horsepower and 257 lb-ft of torque. You can opt for an optional 5.7-litre V8 with 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. These 2 engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission on all models.

In addition, depending on the model, the Grand Cherokee offers different 4x4 systems: Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II and Quadra-Drive II, which will allow your SUV to overcome the most difficult conditions and the most uneven terrain.

The Grand Cherokee 4xe , for its part, will offer a PHEV powertrain, consisting of a 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder engine with 270 horsepower, paired with 2 electric motors and a 17 kWh lithium-ion battery. This package offers a net output of 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, as well as a range of 40 kilometers in fully electric mode.

As for the towing capacity, it depends on the engine that equips the Grand Cherokee:

Space and technology galore
